The Skyborne are Forever's new race. They descend from rebels who fled Eldre'Thalas after the War of the Ancients and found refuge in Skywall, where wind spirits anchored their island in the elemental plane.
Two branches, two factions
- For the Alliance, the High Order, heirs of the Highborne magisters of Eldre'Thalas.
- For the Horde, the Windshapers, shamanic spirit guides.
You pick the faction when you create the character.
Classes
Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Druid, Shaman (Horde only) and Mage (Alliance only).
Racial traits
- Walk on Air: you glide for 10 sec, steering your descent.
- Wind Blessed: +1% Haste.
- Elemental Insight: +5% damage against elementals.
- Horde side, Skysight: +10% movement speed, mounted or not, for 30 sec, or 15 minutes near an elemental convergence.
- Alliance side, Read Ley Line: +100% health and mana regeneration for 15 sec, or 15 minutes near a ley line.
Starting zone and mounts
The Skyborne start on Zephras Isle, for levels 1–12. They have their own mounts, in four colors, at levels 40 and 60, earned through reputation and a new riding skill.
How to unlock them
The race requires at least the Skyborne Heroic Pack, at €29.99. Zephras Isle can still be visited without buying anything.
