Overview
The WoW Forever Shaman mostly gains comfort with totems.
Call of the Elements (level 20),
Call of the Ancestors (level 30) and
Call of the Spirits (level 40) each store 4 totems, dropped together with a single 3 s cast.
Totemic Recall removes your totems and refunds 25% of their mana cost.
Totemic Projection moves your active totems up to 30 yd away, on a one-minute cooldown.
Fire Nova becomes a baseline spell and replaces Fire Nova Totem: it explodes around your active Fire totem and hits very hard at low level.
Windfury Totem becomes a static group buff that stacks with weapon enchants, and
Flametongue Totem gives a main-hand buff that stacks too. Every melee group will want a Shaman.
On the other hand, base spell damage is lower: without spell power, your spells hit less hard than in Classic. You can no longer dual wield. Dwarves and Skyborne can now be Shamans.

Key spells and talents
Recommended races
- AllianceDwarf, the only option, with racials among the weakest in PvE.
- HordeOrc, the reference pick, with Blood Fury raising attack power and spell power at no cost. Then Troll, Tauren or Skyborne: the gaps are small. Skyborne has Wind Blessed, a haste bonus that suits caster Shamans.
Recommended professions
Leatherworking offers several well-designed new patterns. Enchanting crafts better weapon oils and new totems. For Enhancement, Leatherworking and Blacksmithing give easy upgrades, and Alchemy looks strong.
