Druid — class guide

The WoW Forever Druid has Thorns that scale with spell power, forms that follow its weapon, Omen of Clarity and Revive as baseline spells, and no more powershifting for energy.

Class: DruidData 1.60.1.70009By ForeverGuide team · updated Sep 26, 2026

Specializations and tiers

Overview

Thorns now scales with your spell power, and locks in its value when you cast it: carrying a spell power set to cast it is worth it. It is one of the best group buffs at level 20. Bear Form and Cat Form abilities follow the equipped weapon, and you can use consumables while shapeshifted: your weapon remains your top upgrade.

Omen of Clarity is learned at level 20 and also procs from your spells. Nature's Grasp comes at level 10 and can be cast while shapeshifted; Entangling Roots works indoors. Revive lets you bring an ally back out of combat. Furor was reworked for Cat Form: you get back the energy you had when you left it, which ends powershifting for energy. Leader of the Pack requires 21 points and benefits melee fighters and casters alike.

Your forms come from quests: bear at level 10, Cure Poison at level 14, Aquatic Form at level 16 and cat at level 20, in Moonglade. Skyborne are the only new Druid race.

Strengths and weaknesses

Strengths

  • Three roles
DPS, tank and healer in a single class.
  • Stronger Thorns
Scales with your spell power, among the best group buffs at level 20.
  • More baseline spells
Omen of Clarity, Nature’s Grasp and Revive.

Weaknesses

  • Weaker spells
Their base damage is lower: spell power matters early.
  • No more powershifting
Shifting forms no longer regains energy.

Roles

At level 20 on the beta, Restoration is in tier S among healers. Feral Combat is in tier B among DPS in Cat Form and in tier B among tanks in Bear Form. Balance brings up the rear in tier C: no wand, but Thorns that are valuable on the tank.

The three specializations

Balance. No new spells, but reworked talents, with Eclipse. Mana limits your damage more than talents do. Balance guide

Feral Combat. Cat and bear in a single spec, with Berserk, King of the Jungle, Lacerate and Primal Bite. Feral Combat guide

Restoration. Wild Growth returns, and Swiftmend no longer consumes your heal over time. Restoration guide

Key spells and talents

The gaps remain small. Night Elf and Tauren hit a little harder than Skyborne; the Alliance Skyborne, with Read Ley Line, has the best mana sustain.

  • Alliance
Night Elf for Feral Combat, Skyborne or Night Elf for Balance and Restoration.
  • Horde
Tauren or Skyborne. War Stomp works in every form, and Endurance gives 1% hit.

For Balance, Skinning and Leatherworking; Tailoring and Leatherworking craft spell power pieces. For Feral Combat and Restoration, Engineering stays on top: bombs can now be used while shapeshifted. Among the gathering professions, Herbalism and Mining give the best bonuses. Blacksmithing does little for Restoration.
