Onyxia's Lair returns as a 40-player raid, in the south of Dustwallow Marsh. It opens with Season 1, on 9 December 2026, at level 60. Onyxia is the only encounter.

What changes in Forever

Blizzard has not said whether the raid was reworked, and the entrance may have moved: both points are still to be confirmed. A new character, "Onyxia Prime", exists in the game files; its role is unknown. Blizzard cites this raid as an example of gear with effects against dragons. Defeating Onyxia grants a Legacy point.

Tips

  1. Attunement is to be confirmed: the launch raids need none, but Onyxia required one in Classic.
